THE FIELD offers 4 categories of private lessons for both individual private sessions (one on one) or semi-private (small group) sessions.  Details on the 4 training categories follow:

1) General football fundamentals training (recommended for youth level, ages 7-12)

  • Training sessions will be grounded in developing the fundamentals that carry over from position to position.  Both offensive and defensive positions will be taught.   

2) Position specific training (ages 13-18)

  • Position specific sessions will consist of training the athlete to master the concepts of their position so that they will be fundamentally sound and able to mold into their school's various position schemes.  Position specific training offered include:

    • Offense - running back, full back, receiver, offensive line 

    • Defense - linebacker, defensive back, defensive line

3) Shoulder tackle training (ages 7-18)  - (A minimum of 4 sessions is required to complete. THE FIELD's shoulder tackle training program is a progressive  training program, thus, we will build on what we learn from session to session)

  • At a time when there is hot debate around the safety of tackling in football, THE FIELD is training athletes in shoulder tackle approaches, which promote keeping the athlete's head out of the tackle.  Tackling approaches such as the popular Hawk Tackle, etc. are covered and  several drills are used for teaching our athletes to shoulder tackle as safe and as effectively as possible.  

4) Combine training (ages 7-18) 

  • Specialized training for combine testing is available (40 yd, 5-10-5, vertical, etc.).  These sessions are very intense but extremely effective in improving a football players speed, quickness, strength, stamina and ability to improve their combine measureables.

Required equipment (for training categories 1, 2 and 3)

  • Soft, 7 on 7 style helmet.  If you already have one from a previous clinic you may use that helmet.

  • A signed waiver will be required if athlete decides not to use helmet

  • Hard shell helmets are not allowed

  • Mouth piece

  • Cleats

  • Gym shoes (basketball type)

Rates for all training categories follow:

  • Individual private session (1 on 1 training)  = $30 / 1 hr-session

  • Semi-private session (small group) = $20 / 1-hr session (per athlete) (Group of 2-6 athletes)


PRIVATE TRAINING:  THE FIELD offers year round football training to youth, middle school, high school and college bound aged athletes.  Please contact us about personal training.  Available times and rates are available upon request.


* Training/clinics that are run by THE FIELD will be intense, fundamental driven, football practices.  Sessions will be geared to the particular age groups, but athletes will be challenged mentally, physically and spiritually.  It is imperative that athletes are on time (preferably 10-15 minutes early) and ready to practice when they arrive.   Note:  Where appropriate for drills, etc., athletes will be separated into groups with similar aged athletes.
