Collins Hess (Defensive Back Coach)

Collins Hess was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama.   Collins prepped at Butler High and signed a scholarship in 1982 to play football for the University of Southern Mississippi.  Collins was a 3 year letterman at Southern Miss and was selected to play in both the 1986 Blue-Gray All-Star Classic and the 1987 Japan Bowl.  Collins was signed as a free agent with the Oakland Raiders and was cut.  In 1991 he became a graduate assistant for the Golden Eagles.  He later moved back to the Huntsville area and was hired as the head football coach of Pope John Paul in 2009 and coached there until 2011.  Collins specializes in coaching/training defensive backs.
